NAHS
NAHS is the National Art Honors Society. In association with NAEA, NAHS provides "opportunities for national recognition, scholarships, and connectivity."  It is also a fun, safe environment for students to create art, interact with peers, and serve in their community.
NAHS meets after school with Mrs. McLanson.

Scholastics Art & Writing
Scholastics Art and Writing Awards “are the nation’s longest-running and most prestigious recognition program for creative teens in grades 7-12.” In Michigan, Scholastics partners with College of Creative Studies to provide scholarship opportunities and recognition to students in the region.
Last year, my students won numerous awards for their submissions. Their work was showcased locally at the Lorenzo Cultural Center in Macomb, Michigan. Additionally, one of my students won a national gold key award and his work was presented at Carnegie Hall in New York. His work not only was inspirational to other students, but it also inspired me to promote the program to all my students so they could receive the same recognition for their hard work, creativity, and talent.
